ECMAScript standardı, Date nesnesinin 1/1/1970 öncesi veya sonrası 100 milyon gün içinde herhangi bir tarih ve saati milisaniye hassasiyetinde temsil edebilmesini gerektirir. Bu, artı veya eksi 273.785 yıllık bir aralıktır, bu nedenle JavaScript, 275755 yılına kadar tarih ve saati temsil edebilir.
