O cron job não funciona
Eu tenho um cron job que deve ser executado uma vez por semana para update, upgradee autocleanapt, mas nunca parece funcionar, pelo menos não tanto quanto eu posso dizer.
Isso é aparente porque a execução sudo apt-get upgrade(semanas após a adição do cron job) mostra que há pacotes prontos para serem atualizados.

Em algum lugar próximo ao topo - acima de suas definições de trabalho - deve haver uma ou duas linhas
SHELL=/bin/bash
PATH=/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin
Na verdade, você não precisa da SHELLlinha, mas como a maioria das outras coisas em um sistema baseado em Linux tendem a funcionar com, basheu recomendo.
Se você não tem nada seu, /usr/localpode retirar a PATHlinha que lhe dei de volta para apenas os primeiros quatro diretórios. Mas por padrão o cron's PATHnão inclui os dois sbindiretórios, e é por isso que está apresentando um erro de comandos não encontrados.
