Problema com a instalação de matplotlib em Python [duplicado]

Question

Estou tentando instalar matplotlib no windows x64 com python 3.9. Quando eu faço:

pip instalar matplotlib

Eu recebo este erro:

Tentei seguir todos os conselhos que encontrei aqui, mas continua gerando o erro.

Você deve então executar novamente 'pip install matplotlib' após instalar a roda.

No meu caso, o erro volta para a instalação do travesseiro, depois de instalar o travesseiro com sucesso, posso finalmente instalar o matplotlib também!

pip install wheel 

em seguida, tente novamente.

A partir do stacktrace, parece que a roda não está instalada

Tente o seguinte

pip install wheel

então corra

python setup.py bdist_wheel

Conforme a documentação PIP Wheel

Build System Interface¶
In order for pip to build a wheel, setup.py 
must implement the bdist_wheel command with the following syntax:

python setup.py bdist_wheel -d TARGET
This command must create a wheel compatible with the 
invoking Python interpreter, and save that wheel in the 
directory TARGET.

No other build system commands are invoked by the pip wheel command.

Eu tive o mesmo erro. Depois de executar pip install wheel, executei a instalação com o --prefer-binarysinalizador:

python -m pip install -U matplotlib --prefer-binary.

A documentação diz o seguinte:

Se este comando resultar em Matplotlib sendo compilado a partir do código-fonte e houver problemas com a compilação, você pode adicionar --prefer-binary para selecionar a versão mais recente de Matplotlib para a qual existe uma roda pré-compilada para seu sistema operacional e Python.
