How do I convince my mom to let me have a door? I’m 13.

Oh Jesus. You don’t have a door and your THIRTEEN?!?! Are you kidding me- your mom is insane. Well that a bit of an overstatement but I’ve only known one friend of mine that had her door taken away for a week or two because she got in massive trouble. Having a door makes your room a safe space and gives you some privacy. Privacy is a right- not a privilege. I think maybe you would wanna bring it up with your mom when she's in a good mood and ask her politely that you are maturing and growing up, and that you need your own space sometimes. What the hell your a teenager she’s insecure you have a right to privacy if she doesn’t then always stand at her door staring at her really creep her out and when she tells you to stop then tell her this is what it feels like to not have a door also she’s actually putting your life in danger in case there is a fire that door could save your life she’s gonna have to put it back eventually
