For deleting wrongly sent messages to a group, the option "delete for me" is useless and meaningless. When I hurried up to delete the message, I accidentally hit "delete for me" option, instead of "delete for everyone". At least they should put "delete for me" on the bottom. What is the point of deleting a message only for me, when everyone in the group reads that irrelevant message and tries to understand it in vain and asks questions?

Unfortunately once you have performed a delete process, either “delete for me” or “delete for everyone”, it cannot be reversed. If you intended the message to be deleted for everyone but accidentally chose “delete for me”, the message will be deleted on your device but will remain on the devices of others in the group chat.

If on the other hand the message was a photo, those that have their WhatsApp set not to automatically download photos (and have not yet downloaded it) will not be able to see it. They will instead receive a message informing them the message is no longer available.
